Is This for You?

You don't need to have it all figured out.

Here's who this program is actually built for.

“My English needs work”

Term 1 is all English — reading, writing, speaking. Not grammar drills. Real skills so you can follow lectures and hold conversations.

“I've never studied business”

Neither had most of your future classmates. Term 2 starts from zero — economics and business communication with no assumed knowledge.

“My grades don't tell the full story”

This program looks at potential, not just transcripts. Show up, put in the work, and we'll meet you there.

You are here

Foundation Year

Next step

Bachelor's (BBA)

After that

Career or Master's

After Foundation, you move directly into a BBA at GBSB Global — 7 specializations including AI for Business. You'll start already knowing the city, the campus, and how to study in English. Most first-years are still figuring that out.

I chose Foundation because of the international focus. The environment is welcoming — you don't feel like you're behind. You feel like you're getting ready.

Julio — Portugal

My study habits are better, my confidence grew. The grammar module filled gaps I didn't even know I had. I wish I'd started sooner.

Common Questions

The questions most people ask first.

If yours isn't here, just ask in the form above — admissions will get back to you.

Do I need to speak English perfectly to apply?

No. The whole point is to get you there. You need a basic level (IELTS 4.5 or equivalent), but Term 1 is designed to build you up from there. If you're reading this page, you're probably fine.

Can I do just the English part or just the business part?

Yes. There are flexible exit options — you can complete 30 ECTS (English track or Business track) instead of the full 60. Talk to admissions about what makes sense for your situation.

What happens after Foundation?

You move directly into a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at GBSB Global. 7 specializations, including AI for Business. You'll start with an advantage — you already know the system, the city, and the people.

Is there a special price if I continue to a Bachelor's?

Yes. Students who complete Foundation and continue to a BBA get a preferential rate. Fill out the form and ask admissions for the exact details.

Do I need a visa?

Depends on your nationality. Our admissions team can guide you through the process — it's one of the most common questions we get, and we've helped students from 100+ countries navigate it.

Where will I live?

GBSB Global doesn't have its own dorms, but we help students find housing in Barcelona. Our team can point you to trusted options and give you realistic cost estimates before you arrive.
